DEX Songwriting Expo is back! And in 2023, it is coming to you in its most professional and practical form, yet. Hungarian Collecting Society Artisjus organizes 4 entire afternoons, each focusing on a specific topic and speaker. On the 16th May:

How to write repetitive yet varied melodies, hooks and sub-hooks? How do lyrics and melody work together in different genres of popular music? Let’s do some melody-math with Niclas Lundin’s, whose „Essentials of Hit Toplining” masterclass awaits you on 16th May in Budapest!

Niclas Lundin teaches at the Songwriters Academy of Sweden and is a Multi Platinum Songwriter with near 200 songs released by artists from over 25 countries, including Martin Garrix, SHINee, Rick Springfield, Andreas Moe, James LaBrie, Namie Amuro and many more.

• As an additional program – Niclas will be hosting a limited seating toplining workshop. Participants will write toplines for an instrumental, and – with Niclas’ guidance – pick and choose the best ideas for the song in the making.

Apply for the limited seating workshop by submitting a song you wrote in English. It can either be a studio or a demo recording.

Buy your DEX ticket for 16 May 2023, then send your audio recording (or a download link to it) to expo@artisjus.com by 12 May. Subject: Application for Niclas Lundin’s workshop. Important: Use the same email address that you bought your DEX ticket with. UPDATE: The application has closed!
Based on the submitted songs, Niclas will select the participants for the workshop. This program will take place on the same day as the masterclass.
